Kitty Litter Cake
Ingredients:
1 Pkg. Spice or German Chocolate Cake mix - baked according to box directions and cooled
1 Pkg. White Cake mix - baked according to box directions and cooled
1 Large Pkg Vanilla Pudding mix - Prepared and chilled according to box directions
*(Important: mix in just enough of the pudding to moisten it. You don't want it too soggy. Combine gently.)
1 Pkg. Vanilla sandwich cookies (about a 1 pound pkg.) - made into crumbs in food processor
Green food coloring
12-15 Mini Tootsie Rolls
Directions:
Crumble and mix both prepared cakes in a large bowl
Mix in prepared pudding
Put 1/2 cup of cookie crumbs in food processor, process and slowly add drops of green food coloring to get a Chlorophyll color.
Place cake/pudding mixture in a clean, new litter pan.
Alternately sprinkle white and green cookie crumbs on top until all crumbs are used
Place unwrapped Tootsie Rolls into microwave oven and heat for a few seconds. (Just warm enough to round edges.)
Bury about half the Tootsie Rolls throughout the cake and crumb layers.
Take the remaining Tootsie Rolls and roll them in the crumbs layer and bury them very shallow (so they stick up a bit)
Keep chilled until ready to serve. Serve with a new clean litter scooper.
